The Open Space Authority Board of Directors utilizes committees to enhance and inform its work. Committees provide organizational structure and an efficient method of sharing, reviewing, and receiving information.
While the purpose of each committee differs and the functions of each committee are primarily advisory, Open Space Authority committees:
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) provides important public input to the Board of Directors and helps educate the public about the Authority's goals and accomplishments. The CAC is comprised of 15 members, seven board-appointed members that represent the Authority’s seven board districts, and eight At Large members. The CAC meets on the first Monday of every other month, except in December.
